Sounds like something is still screwed up. I'd start from scratch again.
I've done many fresh installations and never had that happen. But power
failures resulting in TS shutting down improperly wreaks havoc and in many
cases results in problems further down the road because they are often
hidden. Sometimes data is gone in many symbols and you only notice it who
knows when.
Get yourself the best, biggest UPS to keep the system from crashing again.
