RE: DTN IQFeed/Dynastore history download working? Not for me!

John,

I have no trouble with the history download. Just yesterday (Sunday), I
downloaded history data for the e-mini Russell 2000 without incident. What
symbols are you using? Dynastore has trouble w/some symbols like YM & the
EUREX futures which Globalserver appends -DT (ex: DB H4-DT) to the symbol
name. I almost exclusively use futures and only have issues with the EUREX
symbols for history downloads. (What's the -DT for anyway?)

Be sure you are on the latest version. In previous releases I would have
trouble with disconnects and the no data on weekend trouble you mention.
Back up your portfolio first, then after trading hours, I suggest
uninstalling both Dynastore & the IQFeed client (2 seperate entries in the
Control Panel), deleting the remnants of the Dynastore & IQFeed directory
structure, then reinstalling the latest version of Dynastore which will
contain the most current release of the IQFeed client. Copy your portfolio
backup file over & see if this makes a difference.

Best Regards,
Mike

Subject: DTN IQFeed/Dynastore history download working? Not for me!

For several weeks I haven't been able to use history download more than once
a day (the second time it hangs up for hours in "ready for omz".) On
weekends I often get the message "history download is unavailable". And
today, during market hours I'm getting the same "history download is
unavailable" message, at least 5 times so far.

I checked with DTN support and they say history download is working fine.
They also tell me that it always works on weekends.

Is anyone else using this combination (DTN IQFeed/Dynastore/TS2000i) and
having better luck. Please let me know. I suspect the problem is with the
Dynastore software but I'd like to know if I'm the only one with this
problem.
