I think there was a thread in the newsgroups about Live Update having
problems knowing what to update. It was not doing updates properly.
This might be related to the same problem.

The latest worm can be stopped with a good firewall. AFAIK, there is
no single tool that can do a good job of protection for both privacy
and security. To be safe, you need a mix of good tools, and the
knowledge to use them effectively. A PITA, but necessary if you are
using the M$ VTP[Virus Transport Protocol]. :-)

Speaking of M$, they quietly started using a lot of Linux computers to
protect their own M$ servers. Even with the very latest patches
installed, they felt their own servers were still not secure. Tells
you something, doesn't it. When the chips are down, and they are
facing an impending attack from the worm, they turn to their
competition for REAL security and protection. :-)
