Re: Pop-Up messages

Once again, there are some applications which use the messenger service. On
my system, for example, my UPS (uninterruptible power supply) and its
monitoring software use the messenger service to communicate and disabling
that service disables the computer's ability to monitor and control the UPS.

I, too, used to get a large number of these pop-ups, but since I installed
Norton Internet Security I have seen none.
