Sounds to me like you are giving a clear difference here. But lets start at
the
beginning because i don't think you have your products straight.
Furst of all MetaServer RT for DDE is only 99$ and not 234$. With Quote.com
however you don't use the DDE version but you should use the Quote.com
version.
This version is also 99$ so that's no problem.
With that you are able to link quote.com to Globalserver and you will get
real time
quotes into Globlaserver wich will enable you to make charts etc.
Now, there is another product at www.traders-soft.com wich is called
OnDemand Server. This is a data on Demand program wich will not only
enable you to see real time charts but it will also download historical
quotes
from Quote.com (or any of the other feeds suported). This will save you all
the trouble of ever needing to maintain a historical quotes database because
Quote.com will do all that for you. This product bypasses GlobalServer so
you do none of the maintenance yourself. This is indeed a 234$ product.
So if you are only intrested in getting your RT quotes into TS, look at
metaserver.
If you also want to use historical quotes, use ODS.
Now about the opinion. Both work more than fine with me. Very happy user of
the DDE version of Metaserver (wich i use for my dutch datafeed) and the
Quote.com
version i used a year ago and also worked fine. (switched to E-signal so not
using
it anymore at the moment, yes, their E-signal version also works fine :-)
Can unfortunatly not give you any feedback on the Dynastore products. Only
that
as far as i know they also seem to work fine but, are more expensive so
since
both do what they are supposed to do it's an easy choice :-)
