Ernie,

Desperate people find the best solutions. That was a really good
idea. I'm very impressed.

So that gives me an idea I'm going to put my whole
computer in one of those small ice boxes under my desk. Better yet a
freezer. Better yet a big ice box and put a keg of beer in there
also.

I'M NOT POINTING A FINGER AT YOUR EIRNIE BUT FOR THE OTHER GUYS HERE:

Actually I have made the same mistake about not backing up regularly.
Here is what I do now.

I have Windows XP Pro so I use the backup to backup everything on my
machine each night to a second drive. It will run no matter what
you leave running. Yes the Global Server.

I use Casper to regularly backup to a third drive. If you lose a
drive or just want to change drives all you need to do shut down then
unplug the boot drive IDE cable and plut it in the backup drive and
reboot. Less than 10 minute job.

I also run macro scheduler each night automatically after Nightly
Maintenance. It shuts down charting, shuts down the GS then copies
all my PDS folder to a backup folder then it starts the GS and then
starts charting. If you have the drive space you can also have it
move the data from the backup to yet another folder before you backup
your current data.
