Bottom line, if it works, it's not for sale. If it's for sale, it
doesn't work. Who would risk having his "money printing machine" stop
working by selling it? Human Nature 101. The vendor obviously thinks he
can make more profit by selling the system than he can by keeping it a
secret and trading it.
I would agree with this in 99.9% + of cases. I am not fond of the
vendoring establishment, for the most part I think they are a bunch of
crooks (no offence, but with some of the garbage I have seen peddled and
absolutely outrageous prices, most can really be called no better than
crooks trying to take advantage of naive people). However it seems to me
that there is the VERY occasional exception to this rule. I can't prove
that these are exceptions, because generally speaking I don't purchase
trading systems, only that this is the way it seems to me. Some that
spring to mind would be:
[1] Chuck LeBeau
[2] Gary Smith (although he does not sell systems any longer and regrets
having ever done so, I believe him to be a man of integriy and not a rip
off artist)
[3] Brian Bell at CTS (I've used some of his indicators in the past and,
for what they were, they seemed like quality products...he now sells a
trading system...anyhow clearly Mark Jurik doesn't mind being publicly
associated with Brian, and we know Mark is a man of integrity and sells
quality products)
[4] Dennis Meyers
[5] Mark Brown (although it is unclear to me whether Mark actually sells
systems, I don't think he does, but I think he releases a system(s ??) at
his system development seminars (?)...is this selling a system? I don't
know but nevertheless we know he is not a scam artist.
[6] John Clayburg (???) (can't prove this but he does not come across as a
scam artist to me)
Anyhow I may be way off base here...maybe what Dennis said is true across
the board...but it seems to me there are a few exceptions. Like I said
generally speaking I don't buy trading systems but it does seem there are a
(VERY) few honest vendors out there. I'd be interested to hear if others
think the same.
