tick data?

I'm just now getting to work with tick data for the
first time.  Couple questions:

1.  I know you can cache tick data if use it
consistently.  How is this controlled?  You have a
particular tick chart that you run often enough so
that the database stays updated?  I can't figure this
out.

2.  Once a database is built, can it be transferred to
another computer with the same strategy?

3.  If number 3 is possible, is there anyone willing
to shared @ES.D tick data for whatever time, up until
now?
