This is probably unrealistic, but I suggest the priorities should be

1) Reliable execution of orders by the broker.
2) Acceptable service & support when the broker messes up.
3) Anything else.

If you don't have (1) above, I hope your trading plan accommodates
those issues and still has a profitable expectation.

What other brokers besides IB lets you communicate directly with
their trading server through your own custom software?  Even TS2000i
can be made to work with IB.

The only ones I know of, that would let me use TS to automate trading,
are IB and Tradestation.  Are there others?
