First, right-click "My Computer" and select "Manage." Go into System
Tools >> Event Viewer >> System and see what your Event Viewer has logged.

Goto Start >> Settings >> Control Panel >> System. Select the "advanced
tab" and then the "start-up and recovery" button. Uncheck the
"automatically reboot" checkbox.

You might try this: Start >> Settings >> Control Panel >> Folder
Options. Select the View Tab and check the box that says: "Launch Folder
Windows in a Separate Process."

If that doesn't work, you may need to start pulling out and re-seating
cards, memory chips and processors.
