It is a lot different when you are a corporate officer of a
corporation taking money from customers in return for promised
enhancements and services.
This is called a "verbal contract".
Contracts can be "renegotiated in good faith" if things do not work
out as planned.
I am not aware of any two-sided negotiations in this case, hence a
fresh batch of unhappy customers...
