One more new competitor...
To be added to the list of the future dead sofware announced as better than
TradeStation here on this list for5 years:
Power Trading
WOW ( Bought by Omega)
Tradelab (gone)
TraderWare ( MB , please do not reply)
Freemarket project ( still in discussion for three years, but they now
display nice daily candlesticks)
Curent list of software having above Tradetation capabilities:
[ Please fill yourself, you do not need a keyboard]
.....
That asisde, the game is over for this kind of products.
The future is clearly on automated trading system development.
Believe me or not,I could now be satisfied with a simple trading paltform
collecting quotes and allowing to call a DLL or use COM component to plugin
our trading software that will buid, generate test and execute the trading
systems.
TradeStation is still the best game for this and also classical research,
but I feel that the limitations due to ur own coding capabilities have to
be replaced by automated and intelligent tools.
So, making a more powerful app that TS is an old style target, that will
satisfy only a few programmers, but will not in any case increase the
trading systems reslts to be developped with such station in a more
significant manner.
Sincerely,
Pierre Orphelin
