Well, you're entitled to your opinion. Mine is they got it exactly
right. They won't change it and they should not. I'm much more
interested in the close of the bar than the open. I want to know what
date and time the bar closed. It works for daily data or any minute
interval.

Plot a "line on close" chart in Qcharts for some odd bar interval like
37 minutes. Open the data window and run the cursor over the chart and
try to tell me what time that plotted price was seen. You're a better
man than I am if you can do it. Every time stamp will be off by 37
minutes. Do the same thing in TS and the time will be right.

I wish Qcharts would change because I download ascii data from time to
time and it's a pain to correct the times with Excel so they work in TS. 
But, it's grade school charting basics. There is no "right" or "wrong."
You use whatever the software provides and learn to deal with it. If you
don't RTFM, it's YOUR fault, not the software's fault.
