RE: advancing issues symbol?

I don't use TradeStation, but a DTN customer support rep said the
Global Server could barely handle the old DTN satellite feed if you
subscribed to the full DTN feed. The new DTN satellite has the
capability to transmit up to around 1500 kbs, including all supported
exchanges. I was told the maximum DTN has reached so far is around
1000 kbs. I would guess most of the volume DTN transmits is from the
NASDAQ and NYSE.

However if your DTN subscription includes only futures, futures
options and indices, then the DTN receiver will only transmit that
amount of data to the Global Server and so the Global Server could
keep up. A standard COM port at 115 kbs is probably sufficient.
Pacific Commware high-speed COM ports raises the COM port speed up to
460 kbs, but used to require an obsolete ISA slot. I'm not sure the
DTN Ethernet connection is reliable enough to use yet.
