Thank you all very much for your input!

Now I at least understand the underlying logic and I agree that such logic
is indeed fine...BUT... lol... wouldn't it be nice if... after all, working
with both Intraday data and dynamic stops is not a BAD thing... believe me!
And being able to filter the messages sent to a pager would be liquid
dynamite!

I will rethink my system code, but I was just wondering if anyone knows a
bit more about how or if inserting lines of "alert" code interacts with the
default alert options?   Again, available docs are a bit gray in this area.
