Peter -

How effective is the operation which rids the registry of orphaned entries?
I have used several registry "cleaners" including RegClean and EasyUninstall
(the latter also is by Ontrack) and found none of them very effective. In
the end I went through the registry manually, removing all entries which
referenced software which I knew no longer existed. Unfortunately, not all
registry entries are easily identifiable as to the program which put them
there or which depend upon them. Comments/recommendations?
