A few weeks ago I installed IE5.5 Internet Tools SP1 on two Win2k computers
using DSL.
Although I have run Norton System Works diagnostic and repair utilities and
Diskkeeper de-frag, my OS has been having conniption fits including,
sometimes,
a failure to effect keyboard commands. All is well up re-booting until the
"next time."
Clicking IE usually brings an error message but is o.k. on re-starting it
except it takes
a year and a day to connect to any web site. . OutLook Express gives a
variety of weird responses.
Apparently, you cannot un-install IE5.5 completely so I am on the verge of
killing Win2K on both computers each of which are on separate partitions of
their very own.
Any thoughts before I pull the trigger?
