Off topic: Gifs and web pages

Morning, folks!

I have finally decided to join the late 20th century and so I have finally 
begun to build a web site to house information, educational materials and 
real-time updates on using Andrews/Babson and Fib techniques for 
trading--at least, how I use them...

I am having a bit of a headache, however, with the gifs I am uploading 
several times a day...it seems the gifs look nowhere near as good on the 
web page as they do on my screen. Might anyone have any ideas or tips on 
how to get quality gifs onto my website?

It's currently at:

www.geocities.com\tmorge

while I am building it, and then it will be moved to a permanent address. 
It is a free educational site and will remain so.
