If I understand you correctly, you can do this with win 2000's internet
connection sharing.  Put your dsl on computer 1, there is a box to check in
the win 2000 netwoork settings to permit sharing of the internet connection.
restart and computer 2 will be able to use the dsl connection for (I
believe) everything except sending email.  I have used it and it works well.
