You could probably write a script that beeps constantly until you
kill it and put a shortcut to it in your startup folder. When the
system reboots it will beep until you get out of bed 8-(

I am pretty sure EL has a command to play a sound file. Just
write an indicator that beeps and add it to a chart of the stock.
