Re: DATA DISASTER

The cable company here was one which AT&T bought. So when I moved here
I called ATT to get cable....and after 8 calls, they still won't come
out here and connect me, even though a neighbor a couple of hundred feet
from me is connected. I have to get my cable from a different company,
via a microwave hop over the mountains, from Reno, which costs about
twice what a hard-wired connection costs. I've used ATT for long
distance for probably 20 years, but just dropped them.
ATT says they want to provide one-stop-shopping for all your
communication, broadband, telephone and television needs, but the
company is so compartmentalized that whoever you get on the phone there
can deal only with their little corner of the universe. Sometimes a
stock goes into the toilet for fundamental reasons, and that's what's
happened here.

Monte
