I agree with both views of this issue. While it is extremely valuable to
have a FAQ, and it would provide answers to many initial/basic questions, it
is also equally valuable to seek additional information/help from the list
if the info in the FAQ is outdated or doesn't completely answer your
question. Although a FAQ would be a great starting point and reduce the
amount of redundant, first time postings, it would need to be updated
frequently to reflect current conditions.   -- optimum hardware, software,
data feeds and broker reliability change over time.
