I couldn't disagree more -- Situations and technology are constantly 
changing -- whatever appeared to be valid last week may not be so today.

Example: I recently posted a query inviting a comparison on two popular 
software firewalls.  Result: a very concise and current evaluation of the 
subject by someone with a great depth of experience with both.  The whole 
thread generated no more than about 5 messages.

Also, I don't agree that anyone should take it upon himself to dictate what 
others should be allowed to say, read, or respond to in a relatively "free" 
forum --
