The question is, "Do the Global Server Symbol Collection Templates
enable/disable the 'watch list' functionality of the DTN D8000 receiver?
Or, is that functionality limited to the processing of symbols within the
Global Server?"

The DTN D8000 receiver has a "watch list" capability that is activated by
the data collection software such as Ensign and maybe the Omega Global
Server. When activated only data for the symbols in the watch list are
passed out of the receiver into the computer. With all real time stock
options enabled, the data feed is saturated and the DTN box has more
information to send to the computer than the 115k baud feed can pass.
Therefore, information is dropped in the DTN box and would not show up as
overruns in port monitoring software on the computer. It isn't clear that
460k is adequate either or will be in the future, it may be, it just isn't
stated as so. Stock options make up 60% of the data feed. Therefore it may
be adviseable to enable this funcitonality to eliminate overload on the
computer. It is clear that Ensign gives the user this option to receive
only stock option symbols in the quote list. It isn't clear that the Global
Server does likewise as in the GS Symbol Collection Templates there is not a
"Name" option "Active, Yes or No" for "All DTN Stock Options". There are
selections for Stocks, Futures, Future Options, Indices, Mutual Funds.
