That is not trading, that is altruism. Trading is exchanging *value for
value* - I give you this thing of value, directly in exchange for that thing
of value. You have nothing of value to exchange? Then you can't *trade*.

Agreed.

I don't give away my work and don't expect others to either.

>How does Microsoft, the greatest producer of value that has ever existed,
hinder your ability to exchange anything?

I guess this is where we differ. The mafia produces value, but at what
price? And like the mafia Microsoft has never produced anything original,
they just steal what they need from others. DOS, Windows, Word, Excel,
Explorer, Access are all software that's been stolen from some other
programmer. Now I see they are going to incorporate their media player into
the next operating system release. That should stop Real Networks in their
tracks. Just like Internet Explorer stopped Netscape. And as usual the code
is pirated from others.

> What's that? You think that Microsoft's programmers should give away
their work?

Nope and I don't think they should steal it either.

>And do you believe in slavery?

Stupid question.

>Do you believe in private property?

Sure.

>Do you believe in justice (getting what you earn)?

Yes and maybe if we're lucky Microsoft will get theirs.
