Option updates are still poor most of the time on BMI. All prices, stock,
index, futures, lag DTN and e-signal most if not all the time. Ticks are
filtered and you may receive anywhere from 10 to 25% less ticks on BMI than
DTN. Big snp may have 2 to 3% less ticks. E-signal falls somewhere between
BMI and DTN depending on hardware and software configurations. There are
traders with dual processor cpu's, udma drives, w2000, fast cable access
that sometimes get more emini ticks from e-signal than from the current DTN
satellite, same traders, different dedicated machines. Most of the time the
DTN feed wins the tick count competion. Come July with the new bird and the
D8800 receiver with USB and etherlink ports DTN may leapfrog ahead. Current
USB V1 standard max speed is 12Mhz. Don't know what the D8800 will put out.
USB V2 due sometime out by the end of yr 2000 can fly at 480Mhz. The D8800
is USB V1 and V2 is not planned for yet.
