Re: DTN's new 8800 ethernet box

I definitely look forward to the USB or ethernet port capability. The fact
is the DTN techs are giving out conflicting stories about the capability of
the 8800 box. Is there any software available today that can utilize either
of those ports? Will there be any by July when they switch options to the
new bird? Has anyone received any information from Omega that they will be
ready in July for this change? History is not encouraging. How hard would
it be for Omega to redirect the GS to a USB or ethernet port? You would
think that Ensign would be one of the first because of the close aliance.
BUT, all those people who are using ProSuite on BMI and are switching to DTN
for options now will be SOL in a few months. Those who are getting options
on DTN now will be SOL until the software changes are available. Something
is not computing with the information available so far.
