before you get too excited about avoiding the taxman.
*Perhaps* there is some legal leg for the "taxes are illegal"
argument to stand on. I rather doubt it myself; the US gummint is
not stupid enough to leave gaping loopholes like that lying about.
But even if there IS some kind of magic exemption like that, I can
just about guarantee you what will happen if you try to exercise it:
the IRS will say "Uh-uh, chump," the tax courts will back them up on
it, and you can appeal it as far as you want and the answer won't
change. And then you'll be spending a good many years as a guest of
the government in one of their fine resorts, where you won't incur
any taxes at all.
