Thanks guys, will checkout the "update every tick" suggestion and will also
examine this in TS4 on the second computer as I don't recall ever seeing it
there with the same tickbar setup and paintbars.

Here is another question regarding running PS on win98. Something about
swap files have been mentioned in the past as possibly helping but not
curing some of the PS oddities. If I recall some have said not to let
Windows manage the virtual memory but to configure it manually. Question is
when is virtual memory used? Is it only when the ram is full? Like my
machine has 192 meg ram and it isn't taxed heavily, is the swap file still
used? The hard disk has 9336 megs of free space. I've just done the
scandisk and defrag and am wondering about this swap file size issue. How
much of this should be allocated to the swap file if set manually? Also
just be clear on this, is this information bogus or of usefulness regarding
the running of PS?

Thanks,
BobR
