Attila,

Very interesting. Can you provide a web site or phone number. I'd like
to investigate further.

Ron, yes I'm saying that the setting in Omega Server can be multiplied
by
the driver of the Turbo Express card by up to 4. I've used this feature
successfully to connect DTN Chameleon which only goes up to 115kb while
the
receiver is able to communicate at 460kb.

Good luck,

Attila

Attila,

Are you talking about the Turbo Express card driver? So you're saying
that if the Omega Server set the port speed to 19.2, a user of that card
could bump it up externally? DS will speak at 56K already, our problem
has been on the other side.

Thanks,
Ron

Ron, there I a multiplier allowed in the driver for the IO card that
gets
around the problem. So when you set your GS to 115kb and use a
multiplier of
2 or 4 and your resulting baud should be 230k or 460k respectively.

The Omega Server does not support a baud setting higher than 19.2 when
talking to a Signal Sat box.

Pierre, are you saying that the limit of 19.2 comes from DBC bandwidth
or
the software interface does not have a setting above 19.2kb? Please
realize
that I don't use BMI or TS4 anymore, just trying to be helpful.

It does not help.

Dynastore emulates the DBC server abdis tied to the original DBC Omega
interface, itself limited to
19.2 kb.
This means that I was rightin aprevious discussion whentelling that
these
converters are nothing else than DBC datafeed translators.
Theytraslate the symbols into DBC format and TS4 accepts them as DBC
format,
LIMITED to 19.2 kb, or to whatever DBC speed limitation may exist by
construction ofthe DBC Omega interface.

You may add a zillionbyte hitech serial port card ,the Omega DBC
interface
only understand : it's a 19.2kb DBC feed.
