The Perl Program Trading Kit (TPPTK) is a framework for
developing, testing, analyzing, and operating trading
systems.

The goals of releasing TPPTK as open source are to: 

  * Develop a well-specified set of interfaces for market
    data, analytic processing, and brokerage components. 

  * Develop the most realistic trading simulation engine
    available. 

  * Build a set of sophisticated statistically-based methods
    for analyzing trading system outcomes. 

  * Develop a framework which allows creation of a robust
    fully automated trading robot based on TPPTK, from
    real-time data feed to data analysis to brokerage
    transactions.
