A book I've enjoyed (but that has received mixed reviews) is:
"The Predictors" (How a Band of Maverick Physicists Used Chaos Theory to
Trade Their Way to a Fortune on Wall Street) - Thomas A. Bass
It chronicles the adventures of Doyne Farmer and Norman Packard and The
Prediction Company in Santa Fe. These are the same guys that used computers
in their shoes to analyze roulette physics in Vegas.
Available at the usual places (Amazon, B&N, Borders, Fatbrain), it's
slightly cheaper at BuyBooks ($16.90) and they're offering free shipping
this weekend.
