I would have to agree with Omega Man on this point. Omega Research is
unique in the software industry for producing a product that is guaranteed
to work for 30 days. After those 30 days Omega owes their users nothing -
no support, no upgrades, no additional services - nothing. This key point
is ignored by those trade magazine reviewers writing glowing reviews of
Omega products, but apparently understood very well by Omega's management.
In other words what company needs satisfied users when relatively large
amounts spent on marketing per product sale can achieve ever increasing
sales all by itself. As Omega Man says:
it really does not matter whether Omega "owes" you an improved product or
not.
I wonder sometimes why someone would want to own Omega stock.
