errrrr.... with ts4 that's not quite it. you can have both signal and
bmi servers installed and they will have different portfolios and
different data files.
so, step 1 is to add (almost) all the symbols you need to the bmi
server.
most signal data can be copied out of the signal server and pasted into
the bmi server without renaming the symbols. ts will figure it out.
however, there are a few gotchas, for example with the s&p futures.
signal has sp for the day session and wp for the globex session. bmi has
sp for a combined 24 hour session and and dsp for the day session.
i don't know of any way to combine the signal sp and wp data into the
bmi sp symbol so you will probably need to create a custom symbol for
your wp data.
as far as sp and dsp in bmi, i'd probably add the sp symbols to the
portfolio, paste in the signal sp data, rename the symbols to dsp, add
the sp symbols again and paste in the data again. that will get your day
session data into both sp and dsp. going forward, dsp will collect day
session data and sp will collect 24 hour data.
