Guys,
Win 98 is not a good choice for ts2000. You WILL screw around till your hair
falls out, or you die from frustration, with both win 98 or 95. Bite the
freaking bullett and get with NT homey, because ts2000 is one of those apps
that needs the bulletproof nature of NT. Plus you get the ability to not
have to reboot the whole mess when the happy little global server decides to
crash in the middle of your big trade, Once you can get the GS actually
working, the global server and the tradestation application, do crash once
and a while, no matter how much ram you throw at ts2000. If you want to look
at ts2000's pretty interface, and spend a lot of time rebooting your
computer, use win98. If you're thinking of trying to trade, using a real
time data feed, with ts2000, better go to comp USA and get NT. Its not hard
to get up and running and well worth any extra effort you may expend. I
spent 6 weeks trying to get win98 and ts2000 to coexist gracefully, and my
problems STOPPED with windows NT, and no I dont work for Microsoft.
I cannot stress strongly enough than win98 is not designed for application
critical work.
