I disagree. More exposure, more participants in this list can only be
beneficial to the truth.
My own experience with TradeStation is that while TS4 was an excellent
tool, TS2Ki as initially shipped was very buggy and unusable in a WIN98
environment. TS2Ki SP2 on WINNT is quite useable. There are still some
bugs, perhaps the most annoying of which is the appearance of gaps in the
tick data in a random selection of symbols. Given Omega Research's
performance so far, I'm confident that these bugs will be addressed.
I expect to be using TradeStation more intensively in the future and I
would like to hear from as many other users as possible with stories of
pitfalls as well as useful tricks. TS represents a relatively large
investment of time and money for me and an independent users' forum can
only be helpful. The more participants, the merrier.
When I joined this list, I received an email from jimo@xxxxxxxxxx with a
paragraph on list ettiquette. Rather than try to restrict the number of
participants in this list, it would be better to enforce the more glaring
etiquette violations by unsubscribing the violators after fair warnings are
issued. Perhaps jimo doesn't have the time to do this, but that is what
is necessary to increase the signal to noise ratio on the list.
