Mr. Pelletier, I hardly think you are an appropriate teacher for
image-improvement lessons. In my opinion, your unbelievably
unprofessional outburst on this list on 8 June did FAR more damage to
your image than anything Robyn has managed to do to hers.
Granted, it was inappropriate for Robyn to accuse you of reneging on
your promise, in a public forum, without checking with you for other
possible explanations. A simple "I was wrong and I apologize" would
be gracious and common courtesy. But I do think it was decent of her
to update the list regarding her error and the ongoing investigation,
so everyone could know that the error was hers and not yours.
However, I believe your childish petulance and "I won't help track
this check until you say you're sorry" attitude are just dragging
YOUR public image further into the mud.
You are performing on a very public stage here, in front of thousands
of current and potential customers. Ill will and bad word-of-mouth
will do more damage to you than any momentary satisfaction could
possibly justify. I suggest you consider YOUR image, and consider
whether an apology to the list for YOUR behavior might be in your
best interest.
