your story illustrates some good points: one, don't trade outside your
system/methodology, ie, "winging it" 'cause the trade "feels" right;
two, either make your system your stop (stop and reverse) or, place
your stop in the market, not mentally, in case the "deer caught in
headlights" syndrome hits :) three, taking many small losses is
preferable to taking a single large one; four, if a day trader, always,
always, always try to finish the day at least breakeven.
