The irresponsible action has been Omega's in shipping a product which is
causing so many problems for so many users. We will never know the facts,
however I would not be at all surprised if PS2000 shipped on a marketing
schedule while bug reports were still streaming in to Quality Control. Not
speaking of any product in particular, which would be a violation of beta
agreements, however I used to do a lot of beta testing of products for a
number of major companies and quit doing it because I got tired of wasting
my time sending bug reports when Marketing had the product on a roll-out
schedule with QC be damned.

Under the circumstances, it appears rather obvious that the postscript on
all Omega e-mails is intended to prevent disclosure of information which
might prove embarrassing to Omega, not to protect privacy. One of the great
beauties of the internet is the empowerment of consumers! A company which
would foist a product with so many problems on its customers is not a
company I would trust - I wonder how many upgraders are sitting on promises
of MBG extensions without having it in writing.
