I think I might have found my problem. Notice the Date header on my
original message:

Ooops.
Unfortunately before I discovered that, I got desperate and tried
installing BMI's MarketCenter Platinum product. (Their "support"
droid basically said "It's a TS problem, MarketCenter works fine, so
tough luck." So I figured I'd see if MarketCenter worked on MY
system.)
And after installing MarketCenter, I discovered I no longer had a COM
port to talk to the BMI box. Don't ask me how it got deleted, but
it's gone now. And I've never been an expert at configuring ports
&etc on PC's. I've created a COM1 port with no IRQ or I/O conflicts,
but it's not talking to the BMI box.
I'm on NT4 SP4. Any more IRQ-savvy types out there care to offer
some help??? Thanks!
