Pierre - I read this list because a lot of traders hang out here.
Unfortunately, crude posts by some detract from that. But that's not why I
write...

As a professional programmer, I find languages like ESPL to be preferable
to what you consider an easier language. Earl posts an example that
includes 20+ lines of comments, typed parameters and local variables, and
decent language constructs. Yes, the ESPL code is longer than the EL code,
and it lacks some of the trading-specific constructs. But for my use, give
me Ensign's robust platform, clean language, and incredible support. 

It's fine with me if you like TradeStation. Your use of TradeStation does
not detract from my enjoyment of Ensign, but this thread is "Best
alternative to TradeStation 2000i?" is it not? And I rather doubt that your
posting (or Earl's :-) will stop serious traders from trying Ensign.
