For some reason, the Omega GSW.EXE graphics module running under NTVDM.EXE
is not always killed when the Omega app is terminated via NT Task Manager -
Applications <End Task> . As long as Omega's 16 bit software is run in a
separate NTVDM (a good idea for any Omega app), you can use Task Manager's
Processes tab to find the NTVDM which contains the remnants of the Omega
software, select the NTVDM.EXE and select <End Process>. This (after some
dire warnings) will remove the remnants and allow the software to be
restarted without rebooting NT or affecting the stability of NT in any way.
Been there, done that, many times.
