RE: BMI Server Question & Upgrade Pricing & Metastock

Patrick,

Metastock runs w/BMI.

While running Metastock, you can also run BMI's market center, which has
quote screens, time and sales, auto options collection, and more - a very
nice RT system for one day only.

Theoretically, you could run Market Center with TS2k, but you would need a
super-computer.

I have played with MS with a symbol or two, but have not put it to the test
of real trading or many symbols. When I give up on TS2k, I plan to give
Metastock a shot on my alternate computer, while I wait for TS4 to melt into
Y2K.

One practical advantage of the MS/Market Center Combo is that the BMI Data
Manager only tracks the symbols your are watching, real time, as opposed to
the Omega Global Server tracking every symbol in your portfolio -- a huge
difference in computer resources required. The symbols you want to collect
daily data for, but rarely look at, are updated during off hours.

Choices are limited. The trader market for software, is not huge.
