Re: BMI Server Question & Upgrade Pricing & Metastock

I'm still waiting / wondering if to upgrade or not. As April
30th draws near, I called Omega sales to see if the offer
for upgrading at $500 was still good or not during May.
Pedro didn't know - said they are still debating if/when to
raise the price on the upgrade. Said they're planning to
ship the new orders with the service pack update (planning
on first of May so should be about June 20th). What kind of
company doesn't update their pricing schedule more than one
week in advance??? Any info on this would be helpful.

Also, in TS 3.5, by disabling the mark contracts expired the
bug below is avoided. Is this the extent of the TS 2000K bug
for TS 3.5? If so, then both software (4.0 and 3.5) should
work correctly, albeit TS 4.0 won't be able to auto do a
morning update (EVER) until (if) a patch is installed. So I
ask myself, why even worry about upgrading (downgrading) to
TS 2000i when 3.5 is a beautiful product (except security
block msg. that keeps coming up, 13K bar limitation 64k page
& indicator limit etc.)?

Metastock keeps sending me upgrade notices - their upgrade
is only $199 for the RT server since I am a longtime RT user
of the DOS program. Anyone know if their software works with
BMI? Also, my big hang-up with MS is they apparently have no
quote screen. How can you trade w/o a quote screen?

The solution? Disable the morning update and perform its
functions manually.

The server is adding 00 futures or options contracts on
morning update one
night (auto symbol addition for xx months out) and then
marking them
expired the next. This cycle will continue over and over and
over until you
disable the morning update.
