I've been subscribing to PI for many years. I've talked to Mr. Ford for a
number of occasions. He's a very helpful person.
This is nothing to do with codes, but let me relate how PI had helped me
make money.
It was a number of years back. PI's method is somewhat based on Canslim
and the cup handle formation.
In one issue, Mr. Ford recommended, amongst many other stocks, XRX. He
mentioned something like this: "Take a long-term look at XRX, starting
maybe from 1970's. You will use a U-shape with a handle...". In another
paragraph, he mentioned that the price of the stock would go to $150
eventually. (At the time, XRX was around $70-75 area.)
I said to myself, "WoW !!!! Great for leaps !!!!"
I phoned Mr. Ford and asked if it was a misprint. He said no, and stuck to
his gun.
I asked what the projected time period would be, and he said from 1 to 2
years.
I downloaded the XRX price from 1970 onward, and sure as Mr. Ford
mentioned, it was a U-shape with a recent handle.
Next Monday, I bought the XRX leaps at $6.50 or so. In the next few days,
it went to around $7.
Then a week later, there was a disappointing eanings report. XRX dropped
about $10. I immendiately bought a lot more at around $2.75. The next few
days the leaps dropped below $1.75, and I was ready to buy around $1.50.
Unfortuntely, it went to about $1.65 and starting fiddling around that
area, and never really got down to $1.50.
Meanwhile, I phoned Mr. Ford and asked if he would change his opinion about
XRX going to $150. He said "no", but the duration would change to maybe 1
1/2 years to 3 years.
I could sleep at night,
Eventually, the stock just climbed and climbed and I made lots of money on
the XRX leaps.
Here're the actual trades:
96-10 b 5 for $3178.
96-10 b 9 for $2514.
97-05 s 2 for $1858.
97-05 s 2 for $2107.
97-06 s 2 for $2407.
97-06 s 1 for $1637.
97-06 s 1 for $1645.
97-06 s 2 for $3733.
97-07 s 1 for $2099.
97-07 s 1 for $2399.
97-10 s 2 for $5432.
I haven't traded many of his recommendations. But just this one is really
fantastic. I wholeheartedly recommend PI to anyone interested in trading
equities, especially equity leaps.
