By unscientific observation, it seems that when QCharts asks to switch
quote.com servers, it's generally during the NY/Chicago lunch period and it
seems to switch to a server based in the west. The interesting part is that
once it completes the switch, the speed returns to normal. I've compared SOL
to QCharts and SOL isn't even in the same race. I've also compared e-mini
tick counts between QCharts and the CME T&S records and they reconcile to
within a few ticks - reconciling is a time consuming process and not
something I'm inclined to do on regular basis. Also, because QFeed is a
different design from traditional "push" transmission, it's difficult to
differentiate between what was received as it was sent and what was received
because it was requested.
