Earl,
I'm not sure if the Commercials are saying they are placing a floor or
not. The way that I use this information is when I see it happening, I
tighten my protective stops on my long term short positions to above last
weeks highs and trail every week on a majority of my positions. Unlike many
other traders, I use several different protective stops on different number
of contracts. In other words, if I place a three lot order, each contract has
it's own unique protective stops, this way I get out if the market shows the
smallest bit of change, another lot uses the breakeven stop with large open
equity stops and the middle lot is of course somewhere in the middle. For me
trading this way allows me to make some money though out the trend instead of
trying to pick tops/bottoms which is most difficult.
