Hi Bob -
Thanks for the run down. Interesting about the reliability aspect. I get
dumped several times a day by MSN using my LEO system... I don't need that
crap for quotes too! <g>
Guess I'll stay w/ Bonneville awhile longer. I'll also look into their
"light" service. Of course they never told me about it...
Quite a dialogue about 2000i. I just assume stay with 4.0. It works just
fine for me and any new stuff I need I'm programming into Excel now. In
fact, with the real time server programs available today, I don't really
know why I don't just program everything into Excell and use their
charts....Maybe the graphics and mouse controls are not as good as TS...I've
not tried that capability yet.
BTW, I'm looking into WAV. files to create a "talking discretionary
assistant". I need to be able to get away from the machine during the day
sometimes and want to wear a set of portable FM headphones around the house
and yard with my S&P market indicators telling me what's happening....neat,
huh? When things are close to a set up I can run into the house and push
the Leo button. <g>
General List Request:
Does anyone know of a program that will permit one to record their own voice
into a .wav file, then call this program/wav file up from a DLL type
command? I see Text to Speech (TTS) stuff around, but no audio recordable
.wav programs so far on the search engines.
Later,
Tom Cathey
