Greetings Everyone,
A comment and then a question...
>From a perspective of someone who is new to Tradestation and this mailing
list, I'd just like to say that this mailing list has been invaluable to me
since it has shed light on so many of the issues relevant to TS users. Not
to beat a dead horse, but the criticisms
of products and services that businesses offer can only benefit those who
purchase it. Before the discussion on Adaptive Moving Average was brought
up, I didn't know such a tool existed since I have only begun my studies
into technical analysis. So from a newbie stand point, keep the discussions
alive since (I believe) many including myself greatly benefit from the
intercourse. Many thanks for those who have helped my in the past with
regards to Quote Monster ( still haven't gotten it to work but putting it
aside at the moment) and data feed issues.
Question: When I installed TS v.4, I had installed it in a offline version
since at that time I didn't subscribe to a data feed. I have come across a
program that will connect my internet data feed into the Tradestation
server, hence to the charting program. In order to test the application, I
need to be able to initiate the online server. The program requires that I
run the Signal Online online server. I have found what I believe is the
online server under the subdirectory called "Prog" of "Omega" directory.
The .exe file is entitled "Or_sig." I have ran it and it seems like the
online server. Is this Signal online server or would I have to reinstall TS
and select Signal Server when prompted? I am in the testing phase of this
program that allows me to link my data feed and TS together, and once I get
it up and running, I'll report on the performance of the program. Any help
would be much appreciated. BTW, I am by far not as computer literate as I
would like to be so my experiece my is limited compared with those who have
been the business quite awhile.
Regards,
Tai Nguyen
