TS 2000i My Plan

While there seems to be a lot more issues to deal with in the TS4 to TS2000i
upgrade when compared to the TS3.5 to TS 4.0 upgrade, I am going to do the
same thing. Here's my thinking:

1) I do not want to learn another programming language at this point, I just
want to trade.
2) I like running my trading software on one system and when I load up all
my pages, I can run out of 16 bit selectors and [crash]. Currently I just
monitor the 16 bit selectors and un-load specific programs when I get close
to 1000 selectors left [no crash].

Therefore, I will order TS2000i, install it separately from TS4 and see if
(according to *Omega Tech Support) "the selector issue is now a non-issue"*.
I will order by March 31, 1999 just because Omega sales told me the price
will go up, even though they have no idea how much.

If/when TS2000i proves to be unstable, I will patiently wait for the new
builds (oh excuse me, Microsoft vernacular now) Service Packs to become
available and will start my testing anew. Besides, I will need the time to
rebuild my workspaces and systems, oh sorry again, signals. I did not put TS
4.0 into production until build 16.

I currently use BMI and will switch to DTN once TS2000i becomes stable. I
will test the PC clock - data feed - time stamp issue, but will probably
still switch due to DTN's apparent technical superiority.
